After the Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines, a group of chefs from Manila did their own act of volunteerism by doing what they do best – to cook. The group went to Tacloban and Leyte and embarked on a feeding program where they are able to feed around 3,000 survivors every day for a certain period, of course not without the help of sponsors and well-meaning donors.

Now almost one year has passed and much help is still welcomed for the people of Tacloban and Leyte. These good-hearted chefs again would like to be able to provide help but hopefully on a larger scale. This time, they are encouraging the public to join them in making sure their objective is achieved.

There is not much expected from us, just a participation on a fun run that they will be holding will be enough. You see folks, proceeds to this run will be directed towards the support of the Livelihood and Uplifting Program of Tacloban City. Read on the details and see that it is not yet too late to be able to lend some help to our kababayans in Tacloban.
