I’m a father of four children and a husband to only one wife who lives in Manila, Philippines. I am currently doing two jobs, one in the office and at home. No, I’m not in a home business thing. I am still parenting my 6 year old, ‘special’ son, guarding my eldest daughter, trying to please my second daughter who is eight years older than our third — who likes to be with me most of the time when I’m home. And finally, trying to be a better-half of my wife. If there’s still any time left after all these, I’ll go to the supermarket or wet market, do some family budgeting, pay bills, blah, blah, blah!
Since childhood, singing is my fav past time. I can sing standard classic and contemporary, just don’t let me do a rap! I can sound like the original artists of some songs but don’t like my own voice. I used to play acoustic guitar during my high school days but regretfully, didn’t practice much and eventually lost the interest when a friend borrowed and broke it.
I started running in mid-2008 when my wife asked me if I want to join her in a buddy-run, I told her ‘YES!’ From then on, I join races at least once every month. To be a competitive runner is not my goal but improving my stamina, endurance and have a real-good cardio exercise at least twice a week are the things that kept me on the road or dirt. More importantly, the main reason that really pushed me to go out is the question I had asked myself: “Why should I always be left in the house every weekend while my wife is enjoying running and biking with her friends and acquaintances? I want to join them and have more friends too!”
Photographer by chance. I’m not a professional shutterbug, though I can cover event documentation for races, road or trail runs. My parents are photographers by profession but got no artistic influence from them at all. Just witnessed from them the studio processes, from taking pictures using dual-lens reflex and SLR cameras to manual developing using enlarger-reducer equipment and with all the chemicals used in the process. I was in the elementary education level at that time so who cares if I will be a photographer someday! My real job, by the way, is far from this skill, I’m a computer hardware specialist and fascinated with ever-growing number of technology gadgets.
