UNO Magazine Authograph Signing of Ryza Cenon and Roxee B at the 13th ToyCon

Press Releases:

Cover Girl Ryza Cenon sweetens and spices up UNO’s 2014 Swimsuit Special

Beyond the sun-kissed centerfold of Ryza Cenon, one of the four cover girls of UNO Magazine’s 2014 Swimsuit Special, there’s more to the story.

We reveal to readers how Ryza is a sexy study in contrasts, shifting from sweetness to seduction in seconds. Take your pick.

The self-described homebody wasn’t shy about showing some skin when the job calls for it. But as the reel becomes real Ryza, it turns out her favorite space is the kitchen. The self-taught culinary whiz confesses her love for baking and cooking

“Knowing how to cook is more attractive to boys,” she teases. “It means you’re not just sexy but wife material.”

Ryza makes another admission: Despite her rising celebrity status, she remains an introvert. Nevertheless, her habit of trying extreme sports like bungee jumping, gives away her adventurous streak that most guys would like to unleash.

Joining Ryza as one of the cover girls of the special issue is indie film goddess Mercedes Cabral. The morena beauty has slowly but surely gained mainstream success through talent and insight. But those dangerous curves, seen on full display on our pages, undeniably help.

Hot momma (of two!) Aubrey Miles also appears on the cover, four years later since her first. Unveiling the perpetually toned and tanned body that befits a budding fitness icon, she proves that some things never change.

Our fourth cover, social media standout Danica Torres bares the assets that got her international car shows and modelling gigs.

Can’t wait to have your hands all over these goodies? Grab a copy of this dream issue.

Reinvented Roxee B, more daring in and out of the spotlight this month on UNO

Even in various states of undress on the pages of this month’s issue, you can’t help but gaze at Roxee B’s face (familiar to most as the former Roxanne Barcelo).

The deceptively simple demeanor draws you in. Unlike most flamboyantly hot chicks du jour, this 15-year showbiz veteran still projects an aura of mystery you want to unravel.

Having done the teenybopper and reality show route, Roxee’s acting, singing and dancing chops have made her one of the industry’s durable stars. Resilience and work ethic are other obvious must-haves.

“There are no short cuts to success, there’s also no easy way to fit,” she says. “Motivation, in particular, is very important.”

It’s as if, like you, she’s still figuring herself out while having a blast in the process. After releasing an album and appearing on shows as varied as the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition and MTV Philippines’ annual VJ Hunt, Roxee took bigger risks by exploring hiphop and R&B in future music projects, and baring some skin on an Adolf Alix Jr. film. She’s also not shy about sharing herself, from her newfound love, fellow PBB alum Will Devaughn to her more intimate moments on social media.

“I just decided to accept myself for what I am,” she admits. And we can’t wait how she’ll surprise us next.

The rest of the beauties on UNO’s current lineup are equally beguiling. There’s OneFC’s Christine Hallauer and former General Luna frontwoman, Nicole Ascensio.

She’s just one of several singer/songwriters on our pages our top local musicians use about their all-time favorite OPM albums and influences. We also give you the reading equivalent of a backstage pass to one of the country’s hottest music festivals, Wanderlust.

And because we know that it’s the rockers and athletes who always get the girl, we sought advice from rising actor Alwyn Uytinco, star of the groundbreaking series Beki Boxer, on how to raise our game in love and live.

These stories and more tell us that it pays to move to your own beat. Find yours in this month’s issue.

Mocha Uson of Mocha Girls

UNO Magazine features Valerie ‘Bangs’ Garcia and Dawn Jimenez

Here we go again! Uno magazine is unstoppable in getting these beautiful ladies to grace its cover for issue numbers 91 and 92. Ms. Valerie ‘Bangs’ Garcia for the earlier issue and Ms. Dawn Jimenez for the current release. Any of these two talented ladies might be your dream girl you would like to woo.

Last February 26, I attended the UNO Magazine’s back-to-back autograph signing of Bangs Garcia and Dawn Jimenez at Powerbooks Greenbelt 2, Makati City. Too bad I came late at the venue since I came all the way from Ortigas, Pasig after my work. I missed half of the time of the press conference. Anyways, I still able to take some shots of these alluring beauties! 😀

Grab your copies now at all leading bookstores and magazine stands nationwide.

Press release:

UNO Magazine puts Dawn Jimenez on the cover

Here at UNO, we know men. We really do. And we know that if you have someone as hot and delectable as Dawn Jimenez waiting for you at home or in the office, you’d be hard-pressed to leave either place, right?

Or, because you know where to find her, you’d try to catch her again in her break-out role during THE climactic scene in On The Job, a movie about prisoners exiting prison to become hired hit men for corrupt government officials. Dawn surprised everyone as she took everything off for her wild love scene with Gerald Anderson, whose character didn’t get any action for several months. Everything. She didn’t even leave the cover on.

Her willingness to be daring however paid off, as Dawn scored her first cover for UNO and an upcoming role in the ABS-CBN afternoon teleserye Moon of Desire.

For UNO’s 92 issue, she gets down, dirty and simply delicious for her cover shoot. Donning the teensiest red and black lace lingerie, Dawn nibbles ever so gently or sometimes fiercely on a luscious piece of chocolate in the photos.

She reveals her thoughts on nabbing the role in OTJ and her excitement at being in a new afternoon teleserye with JC De Vera, Meg Imperial and Ellen Adarna.

She wasn’t afraid to get all wet and lathered in chocolate for this UNO cover either. Dawn, with a sweet smile that could melt the hardest heart or chocolate, is actually a lover of zombie movies, even the low-budget ones, a fact that will surely get many a guy’s attention.

Well, if the first few pages of Dawn’s body in chocolate, with chocolate, on chocolate still didn’t get your heart pumping (you must be cold-blooded then), perhaps the last spread will get a rise out of you.

Dawn. Chocolate spread ever so messily all over her body. And finger-licking. That should be enough right?

Well, this 92nd UNO issue also has some other articles that will get you excited and blood flowing to other parts of your body.

Like the Places to Dayo For, a food feature that takes you to different kinds of hole-in-the-wall restos from North, South to Central Metro Manila. If you are still hungry after this feature, you can go back for some more Dawn.

Or you can impress your girl with your vast knowledge of wines, especially if all you’ve been drinking all your life is beer. Your wine expertise is sure to get your girl excited and more…fluid.

And we didn’t forget to include a feature in this issue for that other part of you that also does some thinking…your brain. Atom Araullo, the big shot broadcast journalist gets intimate and shares about his rise to fame and how this alpha male manages it all: work, fame, and love.

So go ahead, feel free to grab UNO’s 92 issue. Everyone deserves a bite of chocolate-y happiness.
