Taking Rexona’s Do More philosophy to the next level, Rexona Run To Your Beat 2014 will once again challenge you to stretch your limits at a music powered run that pushes you further while you stay fresh. Mar Corazo, Rexona Brand Manager, says, “We are always finding ways to make the Rexona Run more exciting than the last. This year, we wanted to take the Do More philosophy into higher gear with stimulating visuals to match music from different genres, as interpreted by some of Manila’s top DJs.”
This year, Rexona has chosen to collaborate with the Republiq group and the top DJs in the Philippines to fuel your run with live music. Pushing runners to the finish line will be DJs Ace Ramos, Mars Miranda, Deuce Manila, Martin Pulgar, Euric, Motherbasss, and MC Pao.
To make things even more exciting, Rexona introduces three new tunnels with varying themes that will make the music come to life. At key points during the race, runners will be able to experience the Retro, HipHop and EDM themed tunnels that will have different features, from roller bladders to disco balls, street art to laser light. But of course, only those who can do more can enjoy all three tunnels. 5K and 10k runners will go through two tunnels, while 21k runners will be able to experience all three!

Last night was a blast for bloggers and traditional media, when UNO Magazine launched their Mocha Girls special issue for the month of December. All of us at the function room of Off The Grill Bar and Restaurant in Timog, Quezon City were excited to see up close and personal this hottest all-female singing and dancing group in the country. There were also a meet and greet, magazine and poster signing followed by energetic live performances on-stage by the Mocha Girls.

No wonder then that they bagged Best Dance Album in the 2009 PMPC Star Awards for Music for Deliciosa and Best Dance Album in the 2012 PMPC Star Awards for Music for 18+ Restricted.

Most of us have tried running with some gadgets we sport along like a GPS watch, camera and mp3 player. Some runners even have all these three to measure their distance, pace, heart rate; document in still photos or video their first and/or birthday run and listen to their favorite music to maintain their tempo or speed up when a fast-beating song plays, all at the same time!
Definitely, it’s not easy to change or move to the next song if you are using your typical mp3 player or cellular phone. Sun’s glare significantly reduces phone’s screen visibility making it cumbersome to touch its virtual music and camera buttons. What if you have this kind of smartphone where you can just swipe your finger or hand in front of it and your next favorite song will play or take a photo without even touching it? I have a Galaxy Tab with Android Jelly Bean installed, but it can’t function like this one. 😦 Maybe, I should have brick it or maybe not, until somebody will give me an O+ 8.5 as Christmas present (calling wifey!).
